WORKSHOPS AND SEWING GROUPS FOR 2018

HERE ARE THE DATES AND DETAILS ETC FOR THE CLASSES IN MY STUDIO THIS YEAR. Please email me on alison@alisonlarkinembroidery.com for further information or to book a place.

DEVELOPING YOUR EMBROIDERY TECHNIQUES:
Three day workshops for more experienced students, running once a fortnight, to help you develop your embroidery skills further. Materials provided, please book your place via email. Classes run from 10.00-4.00 each day. You will need to bring a packed lunch.
Subjects available: Hardanger, Goldwork, Georgian Embroidery, Stumpwork, Whitework.

DEVELOPING HARDANGER: Cost £75.00 for 3 days
Getting brave with Hardanger cutwork!
Fridays: 23rd March. 6th April, 20th April

DEVELOPING GOLDWORK: Cost £85.00 for 3 days
Develop your Goldwork techniques, including the use of purl thread and braiding techniques.
Fridays: 22nd June, 6th July, 20th July

GEORGIAN EMBROIDERY: Cost £85.00 for 3 days
Exploring embroidery styles from the 18th century
Saturdays: 14th July, 28th July, 11th August

DEVELOPING STUMPWORK: Cost £75.00 for 3 days
Developing techniques for raised embroidery
Fridays: 28th September, 12th October, 26th October

DEVELOPING WHITEWORK: Cost £75.00 for 3 days
Developing fine whitework techniques, such as Dresdenwork.
Saturdays: 20th October, 3rd November, 17th November

MONTHLY EMBROIDERY GROUPS:
A chance to exchange ideas and get advice and tips, as well as time out to stitch! Price includes refreshments, and access to my extensive library of embroidery books. Bring your own materials if you are doing your own project. These groups are ongoing, so you can start at any time.

Friday Group: NEW – Starting in January 2018
Meets Friday 6.30-9.00 on the 2nd Friday of the month

Thursday Group: meets Thursday 6.30-9.00 on the 4th
Thursday of the month.
Cost: £5.00 per session, payable on the day, but please book a place as space is limited: Email and Telephone No. overleaf.

BEGINNERS’ WORKSHOPS:
A series of beginners’ workshops are available on demand in basic embroidery styles, suitable for stitchers who have tried cross-stitch, and would like to develop their skills into different types of embroidery. All sessions run on the designated day from 10.00-4.00: bring a packed lunch, refreshments and materials will be provided.
Subjects available are: Blackwork, Hardanger, Crewelwork, Whitework, Goldwork, Silk shading, Stumpwork.

These classes can be arranged on a day to suit for two or more students (maximum 6). Cost: £50.00 per session: Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
